The Litany of Humility

The Litany of Humility is a beautiful Catholic prayer that asks God to free us from the need for approval, recognition, and control so we can grow in true peace, trust, and love.

It has been traditionally attributed to Cardinal Rafael Merry del Val, and -not so- gently invites us to let go of pride and comparison. 

The goal of the Litany of Humility is to help us surrender pride, fear, and the need for approval so we can rest more fully in God’s presence and trust more intentionally in His will and purpose for our lives.
